Hey there, beer lovers! I’m Jeff, the guy who got tired of asking locals “where’s the good beer around here?” every time I visited a new city.

How This All Started
Picture this: I’m on a work trip to Dallas, with exactly one free evening to experience some local craft beer. I spend two precious hours of my life Googling breweries, reading conflicting reviews, mapping distances from my hotel, and trying to figure out which ones actually have good beer versus which ones just have a cool Instagram aesthetic.
By the time I finally picked a spot, half my evening was gone, and I kept wondering about all the amazing breweries I was probably missing just blocks away.
That’s when it hit me (over a perfect barrel-aged stout that changed my life): there’s gotta be a better way to find great local breweries whether you’re in your hometown or halfway across the country.
Why BreweryTrek Exists
BreweryTrek isn’t some corporate beer directory created by marketing teams who think all IPAs taste the same. It’s built by a regular guy who loves exploring new breweries and wants to make it dead simple for you to do the same.
Here’s what we’re all about:
- Finding awesome local breweries without scrolling through endless reviews about someone’s bad parking experience
- Discovering hidden gems when you’re traveling to new cities
- Getting the actual info that matters to beer people, by beer people
What’s In It For You
You get to:
- Explore breweries based on what actually matters: the beer
- Find great local spots whether you’re at home or on the road
- Discover places your beer-loving friends haven’t heard about yet, so you can seem cooler than them
The Fine Print
This site wasn’t built by beer experts with fancy certification or brewers with majestic beards. It was created by someone who just really likes beer and hates wasting time finding good places to drink it. So while I can’t tell you about the specific hop varieties in your favorite hazy IPA, I can help you find the best local spots to grab a pint wherever you are.
Cheers to never drinking mediocre beer in a tourist trap again!
-Jeff
P.S. Know an amazing brewery I missed? Let me know! This thing only works if we build it together. Like a communal beer map, but without the sticky fingers on your screen.
